Our commitment
SBHS aims to make this website accessible and usable for all visitors. We are guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
What we’ve done
- Semantic page structure with a logical heading order and a “Skip to main content” link
- Full keyboard navigation, including menus, dropdowns and question-and-answer sections, with clearly visible focus indicators
- Text alternatives for meaningful images
- Text and background colors that meet WCAG AA contrast requirements in both light and dark modes
- Form fields with visible labels, clear instructions, error messages next to each field and an error summary
- Respect for your device’s reduced-motion setting
- Layouts that adapt to phones, tablets and desktops, and support browser zoom
How we test
We check the website using keyboard-only navigation, automated checks of page structure, links and image text alternatives, color-contrast measurements, and layout checks on screen widths from small phones to large desktops. A formal third-party accessibility audit has not yet been completed. If one is completed, this statement will be updated.
Known limitations
- Embedded map: the Google Maps map on our Contact page is provided by a third party and may not be fully accessible. Our full address, phone number and a text link to directions are always provided on the same page.
- Email-based forms: sending a website form opens your own email app. If that doesn’t work well with your device or assistive technology, please call us instead.
